Synopsis
Four families and their children grow up together, forming close friendships while dreaming of becoming heroes who fight injustice. Their childhood is disrupted by gambling debts, a scandal, and the abduction of Jie Wei, eventually causing the families to move away and lose contact.
Thirty years later, Yi Wei has become a housing estate officer and works to strengthen the community. His work reunites him with childhood friend Fang Ying, while another childhood friend, Da Ping, becomes involved in a scam and later attempts to drive the two apart. Meanwhile, Jie Wei returns after decades of absence, harboring resentment toward his brother.
As the childhood friends reconnect, Yi Wei discovers that his past actions contributed to the hardships faced by Fang Ying and must confront the consequences of events that began with Jie Wei's disappearance.
