Synopsis
Dear X tells the story of Baek Ah-jin (played by Kim Yoo-jung), a top actress who grew up in a traumatic and abusive family environment. Her childhood, filled with violence and loneliness, shaped her into someone who hides her true emotions and learns to read and manipulate others to survive. Using her beauty, charm, and intelligence, Ah-jin slowly climbs to the top of the entertainment industry — but behind her bright public image lies a cold and ruthless side. She can smile sweetly in front of the camera while secretly manipulating people to maintain her fame and power.
Two men become deeply involved in her life: Yoon Jun-seo, her childhood friend who is fiercely loyal and willing to do anything to protect her — even if that means becoming part of her darkness. Kim Jae-oh, a man who shares a similarly painful past. He finds purpose in Ah-jin, but his attachment soon turns into obsession.
As Ah-jin’s career reaches its peak, her secrets, scars, and the lies she built begin to unravel. Beneath the glamorous surface of the entertainment world lie manipulation, betrayal, and the haunting cost of ambition.
