Synopsis
According to Chinese cultural beliefs, if a person is born with broken lines on their palms, especially if the person is a female, she would face a life of extreme hardship and bad luck. Luo Jin Yu is the eldest child of a fried mee hoon seller mother and a gambling addict father. Growing up, she was never favored amongst her siblings nor given the opportunity to pursue her ambitions. Despite starting her own family, Luo Jin Yu is still struggling in life with her womanizer husband and mentally challenged children. Not allowing the broken lines on both of her palms to determine her outcome in life, Luo Jin Yu decides to take destiny into her own hands to finally find happiness.
