Synopsis
15 years ago, a serial killer "Koumori" (Bat) shook all of Japan before vanishing without a trace. "Koumori" has a trait of scattering black petals near the bodies at every crime scene, but his/her identity and motive remain unknown till this day despite the number of profiling techniques were used.
Ando Kaede is a clinical psychologist who is one of the survivors. Back then, she was held captive in darkness for half a year and her parents were murdered by "Koumori". Okusawa Yukiji, Kaede's step-younger brother, who also lost his father to "Koumori", became a detective due to his determination to find "Koumori" and make him/her pay for the crimes.
Amidst this, a murder committed by "Koumori" occurs for the first time in 15 years.
