Synopsis

Goo Shin Deuk, married to the son of a wealthy viscount, is determined to become a "modern girl" after her husband Jong Suk mocks her for being sheltered and old-fashioned. She and her handmaid Young Yi enroll in a local school, where they encounter Nam Woo Jin, a teacher who runs an underground publishing company supporting the independence movement. Shin Deuk and Young Yi's interactions with Woo Jin lead to secrets and jealousy, threatening their friendship.

Synopsis
