Synopsis
Set in the Ming Dynasty during the Yonge years, it revolves around the building and construction of the Forbidden Palace, showcasing how the craftsmen of the years overcome difficulties and challenges to complete the project.
The Yongle Emperor, Zhu Di wants to move the capital to Beijing, and decides to construct a new palace. He instructs Chen Jia'an, the Qin Ning Lord, to choose capable craftsman to complete the project. Kuai Xiang, son of famed craftsman Kuai Fu, accompanied his father to enter the palace, and discovered that hat some of the craftsmen had colluded with the Ministry of Industry officials in charge of construction for profit. Kuai Xiang did not want to associate himself with them, and decided to collect evidence of their corrupted ways and bring these people to justice. However, the person behind the scenes is Zhu Gaoxu, the Prince of Han who was favored by the Emperor. After discovering his plans, Zhu Gaoxi attempted to suppress Kuai Xiang. With the help of his father and Chen Gui, Kuai Xiang moved Zhu Di with his talents and won the rights to build the Tian An Men. However, the material Phoebe zhennan whom he tried hard to collect was destroyed by Zhu Di. Kuai Xiang does not give up, and designed a new material to replace the wood. He was unafraid of Zhu Gaoxu's threats and obstructions, and did his best to assist the Emperor's grandson. Later, the Xuan Ming Emperor Zhu Zhan exposed Zhu Gaoxu's corrupted ways and crimes, bringing him to justice and successfully manage to preserve the Forbidden City's preparations and camp.
