Synopsis
In the Republican era, a tofu shop owner in Jiangyun Town dies mysteriously. At the same time, a little girl witnesses her deceased mother appearing in a red bridal sedan chair. A down-on-his-luck detective is assigned to investigate the case and unexpectedly discovers that the first wife, who should have been executed, has been resurrected and is using a shamanic disguise to seek revenge, while also uncovering a wealthy family's opium smuggling operation.
