Synopsis
Yun Shao, a young woman from a prominent clan, is brutally sacrificed by her own family to a blood jade ritual. After narrowly escaping death, she encounters Pei Zhao, a member of the Fengyi Guard, and the two become bound by fate through a mother-child Gu parasite. To seek justice for the tragic death of Yun Xiang and uncover the truth behind the strange disturbances at the blood jade mine, Yun Shao breaks through societal constraints to join the Fengyi Guard. As the investigation deepens, eerie blood rituals and dark royal secrets surface one after another. Court politics rage, and various factions scheme and clash. Yun Shao and Pei Zhao fight side by side against corruption and evil, holding fast to their principles amid crisis after crisis—searching for truth and a way forward within a maze of love, hate, and mystery.
