Synopsis
The story sets in the year 2023 when Higashiyama Eiichi, the young Prime Minister of Japan announced the start of "COMS", an undersea mining project. The government also establishes the "Japan Future Council" which consists of various young people from each ministry and agency to protect Japan's future. One day, a geophysicist named Tadokoro Yusuke warned that there will be a huge earthquake happening at the Izu Peninsula which will cause the Kanto region to sink. The next day, a huge earthquake happened as what was predicted by Tadokoro. This shocks the nation as the government has split opinions on whether the sinking will really happen. Meanwhile, the nation starts to face more and more difficult situations.
