Synopsis
To avoid being annexed by the powerful Northern Wei, the King of Yan painfully offers his youngest daughter, Feng Chuo, as a concubine to Tuoba Tao. However, the ambitious Tuoba Tao breaks his promise and conquers Northern Yan. To avenge her people, Feng Chuo deliberately fosters a relationship between her niece, Feng Yan'er, and the crown prince successor, Tuoba Jun. Feng Yan'er and Li Chong grew up together as childhood sweethearts, sharing a special bond. But Tuoba Jun falls deeply in love with Feng Yan'er and makes her empress. Li Chong enters the palace and becomes Tuoba Jun's trusted aide. With the intent of restoring her fallen kingdom, Feng Yan'er approaches Tuoba Jun, but is gradually moved by his vision and magnanimity. For the peace and stability of the nation, Feng Yan'er and Li Chong ultimately set aside their personal obsessions and become Tuoba Jun's strongest allies.
