Synopsis
In the early years of the Republic of China, a bizarre police death case and a high-profile wealthy merchant murder case made headlines across all newspapers, with the perpetrator's identity shrouded in total mystery. No police officers could make any headway in the investigation. The victim's fiancée, Jiang Siyao, a once-famous teen detective who had retired for years, teamed up with her best friend Huo Yining, a policewoman, to track down the killers of her fiancé and father. With the help of Ye Shi'an, a wealthy young heir hiding his real identity, the three went through countless dangers along the way. Jiang Siyao not only deepened her bond with her best friend, but also developed a romantic spark with Ye Shi'an. After solving a series of connected unsolved cases one after another, the trio finally eradicated the evil forces that had lurked for years and untangled the long-held knot in Jiang Siyao's heart. As the investigation progressed, Jiang Siyao discovered that her fiancé, whom she thought was dead, was actually alive and had returned under a completely new identity.
