Synopsis
Housewife Miyamoto Natsuko (48) (Suzuki Honami) is left speechless when her husband, Akira (54), suddenly tells her that he was quitting his job. He tells her that he wants to work in agriculture in which he always had an interest. Natsuko, who had been devoting herself until now to household chores as a full-time housewife, felt her stable home come crashing down in an instant. But her daughter Hana (20) and son Kotaro (17) tells her that “both of you should live freely as you please.” Although Natsuko was not happy about it, it occurs to her that perhaps she should find a job and start working too. However, there was no company that would hire an almost 50-year old housewife as a full-time employee. At right around that time, Natsuko finds herself getting caught up in the confusion of a time sale at a local supermarket. Somehow, she ends up running the cash register, and makes significant contribution as a housewife. Set in a supermarket in financial trouble, this was the beginning of Natsuko’s new life…
