Iwaki Miyuri was born in 1957 to a wealthy family who ran a hotel in Goura, Ibaraki Prefecture. At the same time, an abandoned baby boy was found in front of their house. As the boy and Miyuri were born on the same day, the head of the Iwaki family, Yuichi, persuaded his wife Sayako to raise them as twins. Yuichi had always wanted a son.
Miyuri and Hirafu grow up together and begin to fall in love when they realise that they are not actually brother and sister.
