When Cheng Yu'an — a cool, rational, and elite lawyer — begins living with Lin Xi — a sunny, resilient, yet down-on-his-luck art student — under the terms of an absurd "Code of Conduct," the ice surrounding his world begins to melt. Navigating the tension between adherence to rules and the urge to cross boundaries, they move from a contractual arrangement to genuine love.
