Synopsis[edit]

The drama about a woman, Kim Hye Kyung (Jun Do Yun), who assumes responsibility for her family after her husband, Lee Tae Joon (Yoo Ji Tae), is thrown into prison after a very public scandal. Lee Tae Joon was a prosecutor with the Seoul Central District Prosecutor’s Office who gets sent to prison and whose wife is then propelled to return to her former career as a lawyer to support her family.

  • This drama is an adaptation of the American CBS TV series The Good Wife (2009-2016), starring Juliana Margulies. This drama will be the first ever US show to be remade in Korea.
  • This drama was specially aired on tvN for the broadcast channel's 10th year anniversary.
  • This drama marks Jun Do Yun's return to the small screen after 11 years. Her last drama series was the 2005 SBS drama, Lovers in Prague.
  • Kim Dan, played by Nana is the first bisexual character in Korean drama history.
  • Jun Do Yun received 90 million won (approximately $79,000) per episode thus making it the highest pay for a cable drama. She broke the previous record set by Ko Hyun Jung for her role in Dear My Friends.
