Synopsis

VR game designer Ling Jiushi decides to quit his job one day due to troubles at work, but a beta game made him forget about all his worries. One day, Ling Jiushi unexpectedly received a game CD from abroad. After a car accident, he came to a corridor with 12 iron doors. When he came to the door, a mysterious man named Ruan Lanzhu helped him escape from the wolf's claws in the forest and snowy mountains, and welcomed him to the world of the door. Within the door lies extreme dangers, and you will lose your life if you are not careful. Then, Ling Jiushi discovered something strange. If he faced danger inside the door and returned to the world outside, he would also encounter unexpected events.

Back in reality, Ling Jiushi discovers that the game is called "Ling Jing", a game which has taken the international world by storm. It was originally created by a Chinese game designer, but due to the injection of foreign capital, gore and violence elements were added to the game. This caused players to develop depression, mental illnesses and even caused some to commit suicide. Now that this game has entered the Chinese market, Ling Jiushi wants to destroy it. In order to understand more about the game, Ling Jiushi was accidentally brought into the game. Inside the game exists 12 doors; and there he met Ruan Lanzhu whom quickly became his close friend. Together they experience the various possibilities of life. However, an inevitable final farewell looms over them as they slowly discover the secrets hidden behind these doors.
