Synopsis
Tamukai Yuki works as an illustrator and leads a carefree life. She is happily married to a doctor, Tamukai Kenzo, even though they have not been blessed with kids. The story starts with the moving in of their new neighbor, a lady by the name of Tachihara Sachi. Kenzo piqued Yuki's curiosity when he made the comment about their new neighbor: "She seems to be living alone, but for all we know she may be someone's mistress". To satisfy her curiosity, Yuki decides to acquaint herself with Sachi, and soon the two became good friends. Just like housewives everywhere, they tend to have too much time on their hands, time they spend gossiping and chatting about anything and everything.
One day, Sachi tells Yuki about Kenzo's infidelity. Wanting to trust her husband, Yuki soon finds the trust slowly corroding with each "lie" and "fact" that Sachi tells her about Kenzo. Feeding on her insecurity over her marriage, soon Sachi slowly worms her way into Yuki's heart, so much so that Yuki becomes fully reliant on her for moral support. The appearance of Detective Gotoda only adds to her confusion...
