Okay... Let me explain something here...
The reason we stick with spelling artist names a certain away is because they produce more searches via Google and Yahoo. You know and I know that there are some names on the DramaWiki that have romaji translations we do not particular agree with, in your case "Katou".
My argument is that the spelling of "Kato" in his case is:
- More popular of spelling among his fans.
- The way his official web site spells his name.
- "Kato" produces more search results on Yahoo and Google than "Katou"
The regulars here at DramaWiki agreed to stick with the more popular romaji translations. We've had this argument over Itoh Misaki's name, as well as dozens of other names. If you read the official DramaWiki thread on D-Addicts, you will find our criteria to romaji, which is basically to:
- Stick with the most popular translation.
- If no official translation is available, use the hiragana on either the official site or the Wikipedia.
- If hiragana isn't available, then we do a best-effort translation using the Kanji, and convert to romaji using the Kunrei-shiki method.
On top of that, if you take your hiragana translation
