If you transcribe the kanji for 料理 to space Hiragana, it comes out as りょうり, which in romaji is ryuri. Remember that the ょ character in this case is not "yo" but rather it is trailing off sound for "yo", in other words "y". Groink 21:04, 6 Feb 2007 (CST)
