Synopsis
Set against the backdrop of Republican-era Shanghai, Xu Yanzhen, an orphaned painter with extraordinary artistic talent, unexpectedly crosses paths with Jiang Xinyu, the chief accountant of Ronghui Bank, who has been framed and pushed into a desperate situation. Forced into an uneasy alliance, the two soon uncover a scheme to sell a priceless national treasure painting to foreign buyers at a bargain price.
