:I'm not really sure. According to [[DramaWiki:Korean Personal Names Romanization Preferences|our romanizing chart]] both is possible. I would prefer 'Kyu' because 'Choi' doesn't end with 'g'. Generally, I prefer McR over RR romanization. It always seems to me that McR is more common outside of Korea. :::Yes, the apostrophe causes a problem here. You have to escape it with a '\' when linking the image. And if you upload a file which contains a '\' it becomes inaccessible and can't even be deleted through the wiki. After all she is a movie and musical actress and other family members ''are'' drama actors. Maybe I sensed some potential for a listing on DramaWiki.

== Banjun summaries ==

I have summaries for the JunJin episodes and, as time goes on i will add in those for all the ones i actually have, but i wanted to get formatting sorted before i begin seeing asthere are a lot of them!
*Should i organise the summaries into alphabetical order by main actor/actress as they did do 'seasons' of banjuns. Obviously the order would go JunJin - TVXQ  and then later i can add in Andy, Bi, Eric before junjin etc etc? : One thing you might want to monitor is the size of [[Banjun Drama]]. MediaWiki doesn't actually have a limit, but we do try to keep the articles to a certain size (in KB) so that it makes for easier editing. As of this writing, Banjun Drama is 10KB. Wikipedia uses the 60KB rule, at which then the article may need to be chopped into multiple articles. As an example, [[Drama Complex]] and [[Kayo Drama Gold]], we create a separate article for each episode in this series. Looking at the potential growth of the article, at 87 episodes, this will be the largest article in all of DramaWiki, and therefore you may want to do the same thing as we're doing with the other series. == problem with the new system ==

I have been experiencing two major problems with the new system.<br>
1. When I don't log in, the drama/ost/currently airing lists are outdated. New articles I added don't appear.

:"No Mind" most likely isn't the proper title or a useful translation. As far as I know, iMBC often uses poorly translated fragments of the original titles for their drama URLs. If the English title is unknown you could use the romanized form of the original title, i.e. [[Namui Sogdo Moleugo]]. Btw, there exists at least one [[IMDbTitle:0299056|movie]] and a popular song with the same title. Someone translated the song name to "You Don't Know My Feelings". == Honto ni Atta Kowai Hanashi ==

Recently, I've been working on the [[Honto ni Atta Kowai Hanashi]] page since it was incomplete. However, it's a bit complicated format wise, and I've consulted groink about it as well. If you could look at the page, I've done season 1 and most of the tanpatsu. I'll be adding in a synopsis, and season 2 and the rest of the tanpatsu specials. but, I was wondering what you think of how I formatted it. I'm happy to change it in any way that's best for drama wiki, so your suggestions will be great.

Just to give you a little background on it, this drama consists of 2 regular seasons but more recently, it has just turned into a yearly tanpatsu (from around 2005 it made that switch). Each episode consists of 3-5 mini-dramas with a bunch of different actors in each of the mini-drama (thus the extensive cast list). So template-wise, I was thinking of just having the list of cast for the regular season.
For the tanpatsu part, its very similar to Yonimo Kimyo na Monogatari, so as per groink's suggestion, I followed the template of Yonimo for the Honto tanpatsu series.

:The page structure looks fine to me. Splitting the tanpatsu specials to separate pages is also a good idea if they differ a lot from each other (different plot, cast, etc) and contain enough information to stand on their own. I guess you will link to the specials/tanpatsus that aired before season 1 in a similar way. I'm just wondering because I saw some related shows from 1999-2003 and 1991/1992 on the Japanese Wikipedia article (which I don't understand at all).

:Actually we don't really have (or need) an exact "design template" for series that consist of independent stories. So, you don't really need to worry about the page design. For example, we have several articles on kdrama series (sometimes called "omnibus dramas") which consist of independent segments. I realized that if I add in Season 2 on to the page, the page is going to be very very extensive and perhaps even confusing. So, with that in mind I'm thinking of actually creating a seperate page for Season 1 and Season 2 like I did for the seperate specials. That way I can keep everything more organized and it'll probably be more easier to look at. So, if I create the seperate pages for the seasons, like the Hometown one, I can have the Episode one etc be the titles and also have subtitles of the mini-drama within each episode etc. I've tried doing a sample just to see what it would look like and it did indeed look more organized than just listing season 1 and season 2 on the same page.

::Also, yeah it gets even more complicated b/c before the regular seasons they had a few specials. They moved around time slots often, they used to be part of the Friday Entertainment slot, then they had 2 regular seasons, but now they're part of the Kayo Special slot. Would you mind if I change Dal-Jung's Cinderella to Dal Joong's Cinderella? I had always thought that it would be nice to have more examples of what was "preferred DramaWiki romanization" in our [[DramaWiki:Korean Personal Names Romanization Preferences|guidelines]]. :::What we use here for names is basically some kind of simplified [[Wikipedia:McCune-Reischauer|McCune-Reischauer romanization]] using only the letters A-Z and no breves or apostrophes. So, for the vowels we'd use ''u'' instead of ŏ (ㅓ), and ''eu'' instead of ŭ (ㅡ). The rest is more or less straight-forward.

When I'm unsure, I just use our Google-searchbox or a little romanization tool I programmed myself to find the transcription for certain letters. Maybe having a list with some examples would be helpful for a few editors. But, I think, it would just give the wrong impression that there exists an exact transcription that is always the right one. ::::Sorry to pop in here, but I've been wondering about the romanization of "eo" (ㅓ) for awhile now. For stylistic reasons, I can understand the appeal of using "uh" over "eo" when it's at the beginning (Uhn), but I've had many a discussion with Korean friends and they all stress that "uh" is only used to help people visualize the sound for "eo." It's not really correct. For names like "Seo", it particularly sticks out like a sore thumb. I know we also try to use what's most common on the Internet to ease searching, and "Seo", "Yeon" and "Jeon" are far more commonly used than "Suh", "Yun" and "Jun." The other problem with the latter two is that it's very easy to look at it and read it as "Yoon" and "Joon" if you're unfamiliar with Wiki guidelines and the reading of hangul, and probably confuses searchers more than anything. --[[User:Hanjae|Hanjae]] 03:56, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

The guidelines apply only if (1) there is no official romanization provided by the artist or his/her agency, and (2) no commonly used romanization can be found (through a Google-test for example). Hello Moerkj

Is it better to do nothing than to make a few mistakes? I've created a few pages on wiki.d-addicts and I've made a few mistakes sometimes ( bad translation of a name or a word). I've also corrected other's mistakes sometimes.

Obviously, when making a small mistake here, you have someone leaving you a message telling to to read all the rules again, blablabla...  I guess unless you're sure to create a perfect page, it's better to do nothing, but why the "edit" button then? It's not needed!!!!

Personnally, I think that when you create a page full of informations and that you have to edit all the links related to the page, you can make a few mistakes at the end, when you get a bit tired, that's human.

I'm done with the wiki but when I think of the time I've wasted here....
