A top-secret assassination mission intertwines the lives of the righteous heroine, Fu Xiao, and the cunning Lord, Yan Changyun, who were originally unrelated to each other.  With one false move, Fu Xiao's mission fails, leaving her an amnesiac. She is forced into his scheme of revenge. Together, they fight against the treacherous court and the perilous underworld, gradually uncovering long-buried injustices and eventually clearing their names. When all is said and done, they leave all power and fame away, retire to the countryside as a match made in heaven, living out their days in peace.

Synopsis
