Synopsis
It tells the legendary story set during Macau’s “Silent Tides” period, when Hong Kong banking magnate Ho Yin joined forces with patriotic youth Qiao Yinwan, underground Communist agents Ke Lin and his brother Ke Zhengping, and patriotic businessman Ma Mankei. Together, they engaged in fierce battles of wits and courage against Japan’s “Ze Agency” and its collaborators in areas such as finance, intelligence, and material transport.
For the first time, the camera turns its focus to Macau during World War II, an “isolated island” that was never occupied by Japan, yet still bravely resisted and shared in the nation’s suffering.
