Synopsis

Xiao Xiao Mu is a country worker from Yunnan who has come to Shanghai. For years she has been searching for Kang Kai, a good and honest man she swindled when she was 14 in order to pay for her brother's education. She hopes to apologize to him and return the debt so as to relieve her guilty conscience. However, when she sees Kang Kai and the exhausting circumstances under which he's living after having experienced a tragic turn of events in his life, she dares not bring up the past and instead starts working at his restaurant while also quietly serving as his pillar of support. Xiao Mu admires Kang Kai's strong sense of responsibility and earnest respect for the feelings of others and falls in love with him, but Kang Kai only sees Xiao Mu as a little sister...
