Episode 49 through 54 (ep52 - 17.9)

Although she is doing fine at work, Haruka spends days feeling some emptiness inside of her. One day, Masami’s stepmother Momoe comes from Yufuin to take Masami back to his hometown. Momoe wants him to take over his father’s long-established inn in the future. When Momoe meets Masami after three years of separation, however, her patience with the selfish son runs up and they start arguing. Feeling empathy to Masami who cannot decide what to do in the future, Haruka sides with him and asks Momoe to give him a chance. While Haruka comes down with a cold, Aya, the girl whom Masami has been fond of, changes her cold attitude towards Masami since she has learned that he is an inn heir. Hearing Aya say she would marry him if he succeeds the family business, Masami goes back to Yufuin with Momoe. Left with a broken heart, Haruka pours out her bitter feelings for the first time to Yuko and cries. Spring comes again. Haruka takes a vacation and goes back to Yufuin for the first time in one year.
