Synopsis
Parasitologist Himokura Tetsu (Yamashita Tomohisa) secludes himself in his home and lab which he converted from an enormous botanical garden located in the outskirts of Tokyo, where he does research on his favorite parasites as he pleases. He’s an oddball who’s anti-social and extremely sadistic, but he’s man of extensive knowledge with the brain of a genius. The fact that he is fitted with a robotic right hand is also a unique characteristic.
One day Makino Tomoe (Nanao), a beautiful official from the Science Medical Response Office, appears in front of Himokura to request his assistance in responding to a potential outbreak of Chagas’ disease. Himokura, who only wanted to be left alone to do the research that he loved, flatly refused to cooperate with a government official. But he bites on a certain condition of exchange proposed by Makino and ends up cooperating. Himokura and Makino visits the doctor who treated the infected patients, Takaie Haruma (Hamada Gaku). As they investigate, an incident that occurred 10 years ago comes into the picture…
