Synopsis

Higuchi Shintaro has worked in the government financial services division for 33 years and is looking forward to retiring in five years. But a bribery scandal suddenly comes to light within his division, and his supervisor assigns blame to Shintaro. Suddenly, Shintaro's life is turned upside down. Instead of the happy retirement he was looking forward to, Shintaro is forced to retire under negative circumstances. Shintaro is faced with a decision. Should he finish out his remaining work years silently, without complaint for the injustice done him? Or, should he get revenge? Which would make for a happier retirement?
