Synopsis
Set during the years of Da Ming dynasty, it revolves around a scholar named Zhang Yuan who resides in Ningbo, Zhejiang. He has no desire to study, but to travel around the world. However, he was forced to enroll in Nanjing's Imperial Academy to study. During the distribution of rooms, Zhang Yuan offended the teacher in charge and was sent to the 13th dormitory of Ding Zi. Living together with him is Hai Xiaorui who comes from Hainan, Luo Dalu who comes from Hebei, Pu Yushan who came from the capital, Teng Yuanyi who hailed from Japan, and a young professor from Spain named Ke Luowei. The students who came from all around the world brings along their different cultures and living habits, and begin their campus life here in Nanjing. In their four years together, the students strive toward fulfilling their dreams amidst laughter and tears, and also achieve growth in the process.
