Synopsis

A terrorist attack had occurred in South Africa, where six Japanese were captured as hostages. In a lengthy stand-off over their release, the negotiations came to naught and the worst happened. All six of the hostages were killed. Two years later, radio journalist Nakahara Seiichi is contacted by Hirasawa Hitomi a student who had lost her mother in that attack. At the time of the hostage situation, a wiretap had been setup by the government in the midst of the negotiations. Somehow Hitomi gets her hands on the wiretapped audio tapes, filled with the recording of the hostages' voices. She wanted to share it, so that people would know about the final moments of her mother's life.

The audio file is like a recital of the hostages' lives. It told the day-to-day stories of the six hostages of varying ages and professions; writer, housewife, plant managers, tour guide, company clerk. --by WOWOW
