  • Goong is based on the same titled manhwa by Park So Hee.
  • The production company Eight Peaks stated in 2007 their wish to make a sequel. But due to management conflicts and the resulting withdrawal of the main cast this is unlikely to be happen.
  • The spin-off series Goong S was produced by a separate production company, Group Eight, and is not an official sequel. Both, cast and storyline are different.
