Synopsis

During the Lantern Festival, Princess Huai Si died mysteriously at a night banquet. Li Peiyi, the chief guard of the inner court, and Xiao Huaijin, the imperial censor of the Taishi Bureau, were ordered to investigate the case. Afterwards, Li Peiyi and Xiao Huaijin joined hands to uncover a series of strange cases that occurred in the inner court of the Tang Dynasty involving the fate of various women in the harem. In the process of solving the cases, Li Peiyi and Xiao Huaijin gradually found out the truth behind the Li family's murder ten years ago and finally cleared the grievance of Li Peiyi's father. They also gained a trusted companion in each other and received redemption.
