Synopsis
In 2015, as the Internet economy takes off and the capital market is in turmoil, the 40-year-old financial magazine editor-in-chief Xie Linhui publishes a scandal about the marital upheaval and of a partner of an investment institution and their illegal business operations. This honest report triggers a shock and reshuffle in investment banks, which directly jeopardizes the investment manager Jiang Yidi's career. However, Xie Linhui's in-depth tracking of illegal operations in the industry causes her to be framed by many parties, and she is eventually suspended for publishing a report containing incorrect data, where Jiang Yidi was the informant. Subject to the cut-throat and ever-changing market, the smart medical business headed by Jiang Yidi runs into a dead end, and Xie Linhui and Jiang Yidi are embroiled in a bigger storm. This drama interweaves the workplace crisis of a middle-aged woman and the helplessness of a young rookie. Once they get to the bottom of things, the idealists gain hope.
