Synopsis

This is the story of a town's buried secrets resurfacing. The quiet order of a conservative community is shattered by a web novel, Shen Yuan, whose fictional narrative perfectly mirrors the details of a long-cold, real-life crime–details only the killer and the police could know. Detective Li Cheng, new to the force and burning with justice, finds himself in a complex duel of intellects against multiple suspects. His investigation slowly peels back the layers of a heartbreaking story of familial love and loyal friendship gone horribly wrong, exploring the fine line where one fateful decision can lead to redemption for some and an inescapable void for others.
