Synopsis
December 10, 1975 - Police are charged with the investigation of 120.000 people, the cost of the investigation is 900 million yen. Two-thirds of the cost was paid by insurance companies in the USA. Japanese insurance companies only paid 300 millon yen. The situation was given the name 300 million yen incident, because very few people in Japan at the time knew this fact.
1976 - Director Takeda Hideya was sent from America's leading insurance company in New York for the purpose of finding out the truth of the incident. He left Japan 25 years eariler (1951) when Japan's ecomonic downturn leaving his mother behind. Now that he his back in Japan will ge wish to reunite with her? With the help of local investigator Nakaoki Ryoko, Takeda's investigation proceeds steadily. However, there is a slight disturbance in the investigation, because the Japanese police discriminate against the Japanese from the USA. During the 25 years since the incident Japan has become an economic powerhouse.
