Synopsis

Goong 2 will center around a cousin of Shin and his sister who lives his entire life as a delivery boy, completely oblivious to his royal blood. (SPOILER) When Shin's sister cannot rule the throne due to an ancient palace law that decreed only a male heir may become the leader, the palace seeks out the only living relative left besides Shin and Yul -- the delivery boy. Goong 2 can best be described as a "reverse Chae-gyung", with the same premise of an outsider walking into the harsh palace life quite suddenly with no previous training/knowledge, only this time with a male lead.

There is no current confirmed cast list for Goong: Season 2.

It has been confirmed that none of the four original cast members will play a role in Goong 2. All three except for Kim Jung Hoon (Yul) were unable to obligate themselves and had prior engagements. Kim Jung Hoon promised to the writers/director that if they were going to film a second season he would definitely participate, however, because the other three actors were unable to star in it he was dropped.
