Synopsis

Warriors of the Yang Clan, a costume drama on the topic of chivalry, is backed up by a 30-million production budget and the heart-wrenching storylines from celebrated Chinese operas including Si Lang Tan Mu, Jin Sha Tan Da Zhan and Si Lang Dao Gu. Exciting the audience with the awe-inspiring battle scenes on the one hand, the drama, on the other hand, touches your heart with the profound love between mother and son, lovers and among brothers. Of course no one can afford to miss the sparkling cast comprising household names from the mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea including Alec Su, Chae Rim, Angie Chiu Nga-chi, Hu Jing plus many more.

It is a story that takes place in the Sung Dynasty of China when the whole country enjoys the heydays under the administration of Emperor Tai Zong. As one of the most significant military generals, Yang Ye, the father of the influential Yang family, achieves glorious war exploits for the country and thus is awarded with Palace Tian Bo. However, his accomplishment immediately draws jealousy from another general Pan Ren-mei (played by Kow Zhen-hai) who has a graceful daughter Yu Yan (Chae Rim).

Among the brothers in the Yang family, Brother Four grows up with a handsome face but an unsociable character. Adored by his mother She Sai-hua (Angie Chiu), he is, however, always caught up in confrontations with his father. Uncommunicative as he may appear, this shy hunk still cannot hide when love knocks at the door. But fate seems to play a trick on him as the girl he sees as his one and only turns out to be Yu Yan. Pan, Yan's father, finds it impossible to give her daughter away to the son of his archenemy. While the love between the two young fellows seems unbreakable, Brother Four, however, accidentally takes the life of Yan's brother Pan Bao. Now this pair of lovebirds becomes the Chinese version of Romeo and Juliet whose families share piled-up grievances.
