:Sorry! I only noticed afterwards when I looked at the [[Black & White]] page and was super embarrassed. The Google search tool didn't bring up any info for Kurt Zhou when I entered his Chinese name, so I thought he didn't have an article. Thanks for fixing it up. --[[User:Hanjae|Hanjae]] 16:19, 19 June 2010 (UTC)

Like a Flowing River

Here is some of the TV Show's air dates from it's web site... --Imian 22:42, 2 November 2009 (UTC)

It seems the site I was reading off got the air dates switched around. I've revised them to reflect the info from the official site. Thanks for the help, Imian. --Hanjae 02:18, 3 November 2009 (UTC)

Imagery

There's this other user who keeps changing images on articles. You probably know who it is. The newest image on this article Everybody Cha Cha Cha, I believe the image is just a copy of the website saved and uploaded because if you look closely that little tv box shows preview scenes for upcoming episodes. I'm probably making a big deal out of nothing. The new image is clearer and larger than the original one. --C51236 04:50, 2 December 2009 (UTC)

Yes, that's definitely screencapped from the official website. That TV box and the website links up the top are glaringly obvious. The poster you uploaded was better, since it's the official one, but since you mentioned it's not as large as the new one, I've taken the liberty of finding a high res version of the original poster and replacing her upload with that. I'm not sure why said user insists on replacing images at random, but most of her edits have been unnecessary and the images she provides are often worse than the previous one. She obviously ignored my advice (and yours) left on her talk page, though, so I'm not sure what we can do except revert/replace the bad ones. --Hanjae 04:55, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for taking the time to find a high resolution version of the original poster. No I understand what you're saying, some images uploaded are wallpapers and not official posters. The user has replaced official posters with other official posters. I didn't see any problems with the first ones such as Temptation of an Angel and Creating Destiny. But I feel more like a babysitter checking loads of pages to see if any major changes have been made. Oh well there's nothing we can do. I've found two official posters for Smile, You but am hesitant to upload it because another user had uploaded one of them and it was reverted back because another user thought that the current one is the official poster but it's really not. The current one is kinda screencapped from the official website as well. What do you think? --C51236 05:14 2 December 2009 (UTC)
No problem! Yeah, it's a bit of a headache to check the Recent Changes and see 10+ edits from the user for the same page (e.g. Hi My Sweetheart), and the only difference is a change of image which isn't even necessarily good. Hmm, I'm not sure about Smile, You. What official posters do you have? I'm fine with the current one since I've seen it used on various Korean websites, but if you think there's a better one out there, go for it! Sometimes they release much better posters late into the drama's release. --Hanjae 05:35, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
WOW! I'm usually not lurking around Taiwanese dramas so I hadn't notice. You could mostly find me at Korean dramas but WHOA lots of changes.. you're on Soompi right? well if you're ever at the Smile, You thread there, the image that had been previously uploaded is on the first post. It has the lead actress grabbing the collar of the lead guy and everybody else is looking on. It was reverted back because it wasn't clear or something. The one that I have is different in that it's the whole family and the two leads on opposite sides with bubbles over their heads and it has a background of a house similar to the one on soompi. I'll upload the image to Soompi so you could see for yourself (unless the thread moves too fast then it'll be some pages back). I'll probably leave the image on Wiki as is for now. --C51236
Just took a look at both images on Soompi, and I like how both of them have the whole family on the poster instead of just Jung In and Hyun Soo! Some might think it's a bit crowded, but I personally think it's okay. I'll leave it up to you whether you want to replace the Wiki image as well, though, since I'm fine with it either way. --Hanjae 06:13, 2 December 2009 (UTC)

Editing questions

Since we both do alot of editing, there are bound to be few minor collisions. Are you open for discussion? --Imian 10:53, 4 April 2010 (UTC)

Sure thing, what do you suggest? --Hanjae 11:54, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
First topic - naming external sites like movie.naver.com/ or movie.daum.net/, Are you open using the format Naver movie site and Daum movie site instead of Naver TV Profile / Daum TV Profile ...and for consistancy in actor profiles, using a lower case d (e.g. Profile (daum)) for the website name? Back in 2008 everyone was doing their own thing Thanks. --Imian 16:29, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
I'm happy to use "Naver movie site" and "Daum movie site" from now on instead of TV Profile; I've thought about this before, actually, and didn't think the latter sounded that good, but no alternatives sprung to mind immediately. How about the tv.media.daum.net/ pages, though? I've been using Daum TV Zone for those, but if you have any other options, let me know. Or perhaps we should just use "Daum movie site" for that as well? I've used Profile (Daum) consistently across all articles so far, but you make a good point there. I'll switch to lowercase for that as well. --Hanjae 17:34, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
Thanks...I just looked at Daum TV Zone via Creating Destiny link...I didn't notice any reference to Creating Destiny, but I can't read korean that well (the site looked like its content is regularly changed.) Anyway "Daum TV Zone" sounds good.
Different topic - You did a really great job on the "King and Queen" article, especially with each actor's role into english. I had thought that the title "King and Rain" was a bit off but it literal translation was correct. Also thanks for finding the title "You Don't Know My Mind". I had been looking for it. --Imian 19:10, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
From what I noticed, the TV Zone page is a collectives of news articles and posts on the Creating Destiny board by fans, polls, and such. And re: King and Queen; thanks! Yes, 비 can mean both rain or queen/consort. I'm a bit more familiar with historical dramas and Joseon history, so I've been concentrating on those for the moment. I'm thinking of tackling Hong Guk Young or Jo Gwang Jo next. You've done a lot of great work with old modern dramas, too! --Hanjae 05:39, 5 April 2010 (UTC)

TV Show names

Have you come across these shows' english name? 두근두근 체인지 (Change)?? or 왕룽의 대지 (Wang Rung's Land)??
Different question: Do you use DramaWiki's What links here when editing? --Imian 15:59, 8 April 2010 (UTC)

I've never heard of them, but 두근두근 체인지 is pretty straightforward; it translates to "Exciting Change." And "Wang Rung's Land" is about right, I think. I googled around and also found it literally translated to "Wang Rung's Great Farm Land", which you can put under "also known as."
Re: What links here, I use it regularly, but most often when I'm creating a new actor page or updating a drama page with a big cast - it can be pretty helpful since others may have forgotten to link both ways. When the actor has as long a list of works as someone like Shin Goo, there'll be massive gaps.

More TV show names

Hello again - Can I get your insight on these TV Show names? Thanks

덕이 - Duk / Duk Yi / Virtue?
이별없는 아침 - Farewell?
외출 - Outing / Leave?

--Imian 02:18, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

Sure! Here we go.
- 덕이 / Duk Yi - Virtue
- 이별없는 아침 / Ibyeoreomneun Achim - Closest would be "Morning Without Parting." I also found a 1989 American movie titled "See You in the Morning" with that Korean title on Daum, so you could probably put that under alternative titles. Morning Without Parting is more literal.
- 외출 / Oechul - Outing

Thanks for the info - Happy that you came aboard the DramaWiki - Some names like "Well Known Woman" worry me. --Imian 04:17, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
No problem, glad I could help with my limited Korean, haha! Re: "Well-Known Woman", I think it's fine. I've also seen it translated as "Popular Woman" or "Famous Woman", which more or less mean the same thing. --Hanjae 04:51, 15 May 2010 (UTC)

Hanjae - Your help please on a TV show name 홀이냐 짝이냐 and yet another one with too many choices I Like It Like That /Joa Joa /Okay Okay /Good Good /All Right, All Right 좋아 좋아. thanks --Imian 02:48, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

Sorry about the belated reply! I'm not too sure about "홀이냐 짝이냐" - the only thing I could find was a dictionary definition for the phrase, which listed it as "Odd and/or Even." Supposedly the name of a game?
I see "Good Good" used most often for 좋아 좋아, so we can go with this or use "Great Great" / "Like it Like it" (or any other similar words) for "Good" if you think it sounds clunky. "All Right, All Right" doesn't seem to convey the right levity of tone. --Hanjae 06:38, 29 July 2010 (UTC)

Kurt Chou = Kurt Zhou
