Replacing images

Please do not overwrite images with completely different looking ones. Rather upload new images under a different name and consider to mark the old image for deletion if it is not used anymore. Also I suggest to read our image guidelines before you continue uploading images. Some of your previous uploads have been reverted and deleted because the images were not conforming to our image style guide, e.g. the images were not properly cropped, had a watermark (copyright notice) or were of too low quality (blurry mobile camera shot?). The images File:JiZiHan.jpg, File:ZhangZiFeng.jpg and File:LinMiaoKe.jpg have been fixed. Thanks for understanding. --MoerkJ ^talk 19:10, 19 April 2014 (UTC)

Moving images

Hi, I noticed that you rename (move) the images you want to replace, obviously in order to avoid an overwrite. This works only as intended if you move the file without leaving a redirect. To do so, you'll have to disable the "Leave a redirect behind" option. Otherwise you will overwrite the redirect you created, which is still the same old file because the redirect works just as an alias (link/reference). I'm not 100% sure if you see that "Leave a redirect behind" option in the move dialog as a normal user. Maybe only admins have that option. --MoerkJ ^talk 22:09, 19 April 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for your messages, now I can upload pics that fit the site's guidelines. However I still can't see the "leave a direct behind" feature you mentioned so as to disable it. Perhaps only admins see that feature as you said.
