This story centers around four people whose lives are intertwined. Eizo runs a Chinese restaurant and is dealing with the sorrow of losing his wife. His daughter Chika writes lyrics and has dreams of becoming famous. Eri is an upcoming singer who is jealous of Chika's talent and good upbringing. Kotaro is a cold-blooded young executive trying to buy up a stretch of land to expand his company's business in Tokyo, including the patch of land where Eizo's Chinese restaurant is located. He tries to get close to Chika for his own advantage, and although Chika knows his true intention, she is attracted to him. This makes Eizo terribly worried for his daughter. Each of these four people has wounds in their heart and struggle to get by in their own way. As the story unfolds, it becomes apparent how love love can be painful but is still so important
