Synopsis
Zhong Zimo is stunned to discover that Chu Ruoyun, who bears a striking resemblance to his deceased lover Li Yinuo, is actually Long Haotian’s wife. Believing Chu Ruoyun is in a loveless contract marriage with Long Haotian, Zhong Zimo conspires with Li Yiran—adopted daughter of Li Xiaohan—to orchestrate a scheme that severely damages the Long Group. Seizing the opportunity, Li Yiran uses a massive loan to blackmail Long Haotian into rekindling their past relationship. After he refuses, she sows discord between him and Chu Ruoyun, deepening their misunderstandings. The Long family, desperate for funding, forces the pregnant Chu Ruoyun to leave. She suffers a miscarriage and is later kidnapped, prompting Long Haotian and Zhong Zimo to join forces to rescue her. After losing their child, Long Haotian severs ties with his family to protect Chu Ruoyun.
