Synopsis
Based on the traditional Korean folktale of two brothers, the old and greedy older brother is Nohl Boo, played by Lee Soon Jae. Lee is a wealthy real estate billionaire who cares only about women and money. His younger brother, Heung Boo (played by Jang Yong) is kind, caring, and submissive to Lee. The two brothers have not seen eachother for nearly twenty years, since Jang gave his youngest son, Kim Ji Hoon, to Lee because Lee wanted a son. Jang's wife believes that her youngest son died at birth. Twenty years later, Jang goes bankrupt, and with nowhere to go, asks his brother for help. Living in the small house next to Lee's, Jang brings his three children, his daughter-in-law, and his wife with him. Together they live towards a brighter day. Lee's wife and daughter (Kim Yong Rihm and Kim Ji Eun) are eager to make Jang's daughter, Kim Tae Hee's life miserable. When Kim Tae Hee and Kim Ji Eun again fight over the same guy, Yuhn Jung Hoon, it is no surprise that the nice girl wins. As two families clash over women, men, family secrets (Kim Ji Hoon), and money matters, the good guy teaches the "bad guy" a lesson-just like the Korean folktale.
