Synopsis
Set in the Northern Song dynasty, the story revolves around the daughter of the Prime Minister, Mu Rongyan and Prince Enping (Zhao Qu) who are childhood playmates. The two plan to elope together to a faraway land, but faced constant obstruction by the Prime minister, Mu Fugong. At the same time, Li Yuanxiao, the son of Prince Han, returns from an expedition. A sudden marriage arrangement was bestowed upon Mu Rongyan and Li Yuanxiao, causing the trio's lives to become entangled with one another. The stubborn and witty Mu Rongyan and the persistent Li Yuanxiao begin a game of cat-and-mouse. Meanwhile, under the instigation of Mu Fugong, the ambitious Zhao Qu plans to destroy the Prince Han manor. Facing the political machinations and schemes, what would the three of them do?
