I'm in love with Korean dramas :) I never got the hang of Japanese dramas and over 50% of Taiwanese dramas are either unable to be taken seriously, ridiculously written, or have bad actors. That doesn't mean I dislike them: there are a few that are clear masterpieces ;). Plus I'm a Chinese-American so it really helps my sad Mandarin... I never watch dramas online, I think it's annoying when you have to stop and change the video every 10 minutes or it randomly pauses due to slow loading and you have to pause it and wait. It's also arrogant when your internet connection randomly cuts off. Therefore, I resort to downloading dramas (anti-torrent).
Download sites include: Baidu (TW dramas, low-quality), Silent Regrets (all dramas, up-and-running again?), Idols Unlimited (most recommended but has a lot of pop ups), Doremii Blogspot (TW & JPN dramas, a little slow on certain dramas- but by far the best translations), Chinky Blogspot (most dramas).

episodes 4, 5, & 6: i'd say that this drama has progressed too fast..with a lot of lagging in between. there isn't much of a complicated plot, except for bits and pieces that are deemed Important. so basically it's a lot of talking and reflecting and pieces of random (and sudden) events that either screw up or improve the two main characters' relationship. it's hard to due reviews on an insignificant drama..
episode 3: now it's getting too slow... i think i'm just anxious for yi-joon to find out that he has a son. and yeah it's a lot like kim sam-soon! i also realized that sam-soon's unni is also the noona of yi-joon. how was she able to act in two dramas that aired at the same time? not just two dramas, but two cooking dramas.. hah anyway, keeping the rating as it is.
episode 2: well to an extent, better than the first episode. the plot is really rushed (time goes by too fast, events aren't as explained, and a lot of assumptions must be made) but maybe it's because i'm used to dramas that tend to drag (very common). somewhat reminds me of kim sam-soon, with the exuberant yet poor chef-wannabe and the stone-faced rich guy who needs a chef for his future restaurant (or something of that ilk). *they both aired on june 2005...wow that's a lot of cuisine/food dramas to be hit with at once...
episode 1: a little boring. the guy (jo hyun jae) is too much of a reclusive for me and eun jae (han chae young) seems like the typical optimistic stubborn girl..
i heard ratings aren't the best but it has han chae young..who impressed me by far in "delightful girl choon hyang."
this will be the first drama to get episode-by-episode reviews. (i think :P)

omo..i'm so unused to amazing endings! :') just for that i boosted up the rating. i wonder if i will be disappointed in future dramas because this has totally upped my expectations and standards of a perfect ending?? okay it's not the most original plot and i suppose it can't compare to recent dramas (think Coffee Prince).. but i finished it in two-ish weeks, which is somewhat of a record for this year. during the schoolyear i usually take a month or so...but like the reason i picked this drama: gong yoo + gong hyo jin = the best of the best. RECOMMENDED x100 :D
it's like a mix of sang doo + choon hyang (the dramas, not the specific characters).. makes me feel soo nostalgic!

originally didn't want to see this because i'm not a big fan of angela zhang (is she anorexic??)..but ratings were pretty high. good acting i guess but angela tries way too hard, the plot is too rushed, and there's a lot of doubtful events.. episode 10 is the best one so far! recommended for fans of smiling pasta.
