Synopsis
The drama tells the story of Han Dong, a noodle shop owner, and his wife Lin Meiyue, whose seemingly peaceful life conceals a turbulent past.
Lin Meiyue used to be a nightclub performer known as "Li Rongzhen"， and is blackmailed by her former "friend" Sister Ling. At the same time, Han Dong's twenty-year-old secret is uncovered by a mysterious figure seeking revenge. The escalating threats from Han Dong's old friend Sun Haitao trap the couple in an invisible web of darkness.
Han Dong's cowardice in the past pushed his high school classmate Zhao Xiaoqi into the darkest moment of her life. Meanwhile, Lin Meiyue teams up with her former sister A Mei, unearthing shocking secrets from the past—secrets that point directly to the all-powerful Sun family.
Facing a family that dominates with impunity, the couple moves from passive defense to a desperate counterattack, fighting side by side to protect their family.
In the end, the Sun family's crimes are uncovered. When the dust settles, Han Dong and Lin Meiyue go to prison for their past helplessness and overstepping during the fight for survival.
