Synopsis
Set in the late 1990s, the story revolves around the discovery of an unidentified female corpse in the mining district of the small town of Fengyang. As long-buried secrets and clues to a new case gradually come to light, the town—once peaceful and uneventful—is shaken by undercurrents. Complicated family relationships, father-son confrontations, the tug-of-war between duty and affection, and the entanglement of law and humanity all contribute to the rising tension beneath the surface.
