Synopsis

After losing his two wives, Sung Chee somehow winds up alive after encountering a storm in the middle of the night when his ship crashes. Back in his hometown, Sung Chee was a well-known autopsy expert and forensics officer that solved many cases. In this new town, he soon meets Yuen Yuk Chu, whom he accidentally causes to lose medicine that she had bought for her ailing mother. Because of this, Sung Chee is employed to work in her mother's shop to pay off his debt. Strangely enough, Yuen Yuk Chu works at night with Chow Chi Lung in a morgue in order to earn enough money to buy medicine for her mother. So Sung Chee's real identity soon emerges and he is back to discovering how murder victims came to meet death, with the help of his new acquaintances. Chow Chi Lung convinces Sung Chee to take him under his wing and later becomes his apprentice. A mutual love develops between Yuen Yuk Chu and Sung Chee, but he denies his love for her as he believes that he will lose her too if they were to marry.
