Synopsis
The average teenager Ozaki Michiko unexpectedly finds a power awakening in body after a liason with her boyfriend. This bizarre power causes her eyes cloud over with a purple haze and her body to transform into that of a leopard. Because she has a mix of human and feline DNA, Michiko begins to find life increasingly difficult as a scientist decides he wants her as a test subject...
This dorama is based on a manga of the same name by Shinohara Chie. The manga version of "Yami no PURPLE EYE" won the 32nd Shogakukan Manga Award (1987). The comic has also been adapted into a 30 minute animation.
Review
Another story only Shinohara Chie could tell! This series is a bit rushed but retains a strong sense of intense drama all the way through. Fans of the movie "Cat People" would probably enjoy it!
