Synopsis
A story of a young samurai, Bunshiro Maki from small Unasaka Domain in Tohoku region in the Edo Period. In spite of poverty and many difficulties, he finally avenges his father's death by struggling through his fate with a warm feeling towards the woman of his first love, Fuku. Based on a novel written by Shuhei Fujisawa. The drama won 2 Golden Nymph awards in the 44th Monte Carlo Television Festival Mini Series section for Best Mini-Series and Best Performance by Actor, which was held in July. Fuji TV
