Synopsis
Ten Made Todoke is a family-oriented drama series based on the everyday life of an extended family. Each season was filmed during summer, and then broadcast the following spring. Filming during summertime fit the typical child actor's schedule. Each season focuses on the previous summer, as it looked somewhat unusual for people to be wearing short-sleeved shirts.
Seasons 1 through 8 (1991 through 1999) focused on the Maruyama household. The series was then re-casted, along with a new storyline in late 1999, introducing the Sugimoto family. --groink
