Guns and Roses

Baidu clearly states premiere time 2015. A rerun was on Jiangsu TV in 2020. Why is the 2015 year questioned? --Vylmen (talk) 12:46, 12 January 2021 (PST)

https://k.sina.com.cn/article_1784916423_6a63a9c700100i9pj.html?sudaref=www.google.com&display=0&retcode=0 And fyi based on your logic, douban and maoyan shows the year 2022 so it should be unaired

That article doesn't tell me it's the first airing, at least I can't make that out from the translation. My logic is that we have sources we trust to some extent and two of them (Baidu and MMK) list 2015, two of them list unaired, none (now one) 2019, but not explicitly that it's a premiere - it reads as a promotional for an airing, which can just as well be for a re-run or for a relaunch after regional airings. So it's logical to go with the earliest, because reruns/relaunches/rebrandings happen all the time, unless you can find some proof that it did not air in 2015 (which is hard). If you only want to list broadcast period based on proof of an air date, then there's a lot of information listed now you have to remove. --Vylmen (talk) 13:47, 12 January 2021 (PST)

You can find the proof on Weibo, where it shows that 2015 was a placeholder date. Its only hard for older dramas anyway. Besides, Chinese Wiki has people who gets the accurate air dates so its not that hard to find "proof" if you look around more.

And besides, Mmk? The website which gets photographs and credits more? And for the so-called 2015 air date, no channel was listed right? So instead, you can go look for proof that it aired in 2015 rather than the other way round.

Thanks, that was the answer I was looking for. That makes it plausible that it was listed, but not actually aired. This is why I always list all sources I get information from, especially when there's contradicting information, so that others can easily verify.

If you mean Wikipedia lists of aired drama's - then Beautiful Stupid Woman also didn't air in 2015, nor did A Big House, to name a few.

I don't know what you mean by that.

Good point. But I'm afraid it applies to a large portion of what is now in Cdrama stubs, especially war/military ones. --Vylmen (talk) 14:28, 12 January 2021 (PST)

美丽的笨女人 aired in 2016 on 宁波社会生活频道. Of course, I have no way to verify that since I don't live in China. You can ask those who edit Chinese Wiki. I think they get the air dates and timings from their local newspaper. If the drama don't air on national tv or online platforms, then most of the time it wouldn't be reflected on Baidu or Douban. For 好大一个家, it should be the same case. The air dates reflected on most pages should be the CCTV air date, where it can be viewed nationally. I have no opinion on which air date should be listed. But MyDramaList lists the air date where the show can be viewed by most people, while I list whatever info is on available

I'm just saying Manmankan is not a good source. They often get the actors credits wrong. So it should be the last source to be referred to unless there is no other info. Even supcast is slightly more accurate.

Not finding 好大一个家 (simplified) or 好大一個家 (traditional) here. And yes, I'm also the most sceptical about Mmk. And find Douban the least useful, since they often lack role information. Each site has their strengths I suppose. In the case of Guns and Roses, all 4 sites I check at the very minimum turn out to be wrong. :) --Vylmen (talk) 15:03, 12 January 2021 (PST)

好大一个家 is listed in the 2014 list, because it aired on some small channel before making it to CCTV. Panwink (talk) 19:04, 12 January 2021 (PST)
